Domainers being threatened by Terrorists?

September 19, 2012 |

Yesterday a domainer from Pakistan had made some death threats to about 50 people on Facebook by tagging them on a post that is rather disturbing. It obviously has to deal with the recent protests against the YouTube movie called “The Innocence of Muslims” that disrespects their prophet Mohammad. This YouTube video has over 6 million views. There are 23,000 likes and over 61,000 dislkes. I watched this preview and I will tell you it is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I cannot believe that just because a bunch of idiots made a low budget preview (Which I do not think there will ever be a movie) that Muslims everywhere are protesting and killing people at the US Embassies is absurd.

So as I am seeing all of this stuff going down I have certain views about these kinds of threats and the protests going down against our Embassies. I was in the Military for 4 years. I never went to war and I do not promote hate. I do however get very upset to see some of my fellow domainers having their lives and other Americans lives being threatened by terrorists. This should not be tolerated and will not be tollerated by me. If you were one of the 50 or so domainers that were threatened by this guy or anyone else on Facebook or in an email I strongly suggest that you report this to the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI or your local police. Action is taken by the authorities on every terroristic threat and these guys will be watched.

I would also recommend that all of the moderators of the domain groups on Facebook ban this user from their groups so this doesnt happen again.

Here is a link to one what seems to be the full movie on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAiOEV0v2RM

One of our good friends (A fellow Domainer) was threatened with these terroristic threats. Since then the FBI, Homeland Security and Facebook have been notified of his actions. This particular domainer has also been permanently blocked from the group on Facebook. I did not personally receive this message but it seems that this particular domainer targeted the Facebook group called Post Your Domains. http://www.facebook.com/groups/postyourdomains/

According to a post inside the group there was a notice sent out by the group moderator that explains the following:

Notice: Bilal Yousaf … has been banned from this group for life and will not be allowed back due to terrorist threats made against members within this group and Americans in general. Mr. Yousaf has been reported to FB security, Homeland Security and the F.B.I. This group will not tolerate terrorist threats being made to anyone by anyone. Keep in mind there are other people with the same or similar names on FB…this person has been dealt with accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and those of you who are moderators here please continue to monitor our group in order to make sure we are promoting peace and harmony.

Here is a story that one of the domainers (Our Good Friend) that was directly threatened by this guy. I have not added the photo but you can see it here:

Domainer from Pakistan Promotes Death, this article was reported to various news & bloggers around the internet but the reason I posted it here on DomainingLaws.com is because the threat was geared toward me through a Facebook photo tag and because Facebook is linked to my iPhoine the images you see came from my iPhone…I captured them along with several images which are merely screenshots… Really here there is a right to the freedom of speech under the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, however, to make idle threats or terrorist threats then that changes things up a bit. Are domainers really threatening other domainers with death?
