China aims to maintain growth pace, fend off unemployment in five-year plan

March 5, 2016 |

A screen shows China's President Xi Jinping during the opening session of the National People's Congress at the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing, ChinaBy Kevin Yao and Sue-Lin Wong BEIJING (Reuters) – China aims to keep its economy growing by at least 6.5 percent over the next five years while pushing hard to create more jobs and restructure inefficient industries, Premier Li Keqiang said on Saturday. Growth of 6.5 percent would mark a ripping pace for most countries but would still be the slowest in China in a quarter century as world's No. 2 economy grapples with gyrating financial markets, softening global trade and efforts to reduce environmental degradation. "Our country's development faces more and greater difficulties, and severer challenges this year, so we must be prepared for a tough battle," Li said ahead of the country's annual meeting of parliament.

Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Ally, Inc. “More importantly, the Digital Ally Open will bring attention and support to the local and national charities involved.”

“It is with a great deal of pleasure that the PGA TOUR welcomes Digital Ally to the Web.com Tour’s family of sponsors,” said Web.com Tour president Bill Calfee.  “Digital Ally is a unique company that is based within a few miles of the tournament’s home at Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate. We think this hometown synergy and the charitable ties with S.A.F.E., C.O.P.S., National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation and Children’s Mercy Kansas City position the Digital Ally Open for much success in the future. We congratulate the Kansas City Crusaders on their efforts in bringing Digital Ally to the Web.com Tour.”

“The Kansas City Crusaders are honored to welcome Digital Ally as the title sponsor of our Web.com Tour event,” said Kansas City Crusaders president Matt Henderson. “We have a shared vision of making the Digital Ally Open a cornerstone community event each summer that supports businesses as well as local and national charities. We look forward to a long partnership with Digital Ally in providing a platform that helps them achieve their goals.”

“The Digital Ally Open will be our Company’s first engagement with a major sports sponsorship,” added Ross. “The Company plans to activate its partnership by introducing and integrating its products in unique ways during pre-tournament and tournament-week activities. The tournament will coincide with Digital Ally’s first Annual Analysts and Investors Day and will be held during a week when law enforcement officers from around the U.S. and from several nations are attending various educational and product familiarization classes at Digital Ally’s headquarters facility in Lenexa.”

The 2015 tournament will mark the sixth time the Web.com Tour has played a tournament at LionsGate. Zack Sucher, who graduated to the PGA TOUR at the conclusion of the 2014 season, won last year’s championship by three shots over Kansas State graduate Aaron Watkins.
